Gamze Ersan, Ph.D.
Teaching Assistant Professor, ASEE eFellows
Dr. Ersan is a Teaching Assistant Professor in the College of Engineering and Mines. Before joining, she was an Assistant Research Professor and ASEE eFellows in the School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment at Arizona State University.
She received her Ph.D. degree from the Department of Environmental Engineering in 2014 at Istanbul University, Turkey. Dr. Ersan is an expert on the adsorption and Linear Solvation Energy Relationship (LSER) modeling of several conventional and novel carbon-based nanomaterials. As a faculty at the University of North Dakota, her current research interests are novel hybrid electrochemical processes for the regeneration of PFAS-laden carbon-based adsorbents and predicting the adsorption efficiency using machine learning on nanomaterials.
She is a mother of two. Her favorite hobbies are hiking, camping, reading, and baking.
