Hello UND AWWA,

The American Water Works Association (AWWA) Student Chapter is a student-led organization dedicated to advancing the water industry by connecting students with faculty, professionals, and career opportunities. The chapter serves as a resource for undergraduate and graduate students with an interest in water and environmental engineering, public health, and resource management.

 

Activities and Benefits

Through the AWWA Student Chapter, members can:

  • Promote professional development: Engage in activities that enhance professional growth, such as networking with industry experts, participating in career-building seminars, and attending regional and national conferences.

  • Connect with the industry: Establish valuable connections with the state's professional water community, including the North Dakota AWWA Section.

  • Gain hands-on experience: Participate in field trips, workshops, and competitions to gain practical experience with real-world water and environmental challenges.

  • Access valuable resources: Obtain scholarships, receive discounted professional memberships, and access technical resources and publications.

  • Create community: Build a strong peer network through monthly meetings, collaborative projects, and social events with other students who share a passion for water resources.​
